Scuba Dive, Scuba Dive, Wind Surf and more Diving

All that and more. Man that was awesome!!
The gentle swells and shining sun, not to mention the amazing visibility diving, have made the last few days great. Well today`s diving had much of the same amazing vis. Had a primo week diving and fishing off the boat. Had a big haul of Turbot, Sole, Crab and Scallops for the bbq.

The promise was great, the reality less so

Today was a fluke with the weather report last night saying storms were coming with 2 metres of swell and force 6 winds. We managed two dives in the morning out on a choppy and windy east coast. Beat our way out into bumpy seas to 40 metres for a couple of quick scallop dives. Then it was back home unpack the dive gear and reload with wave kit. We were promised an epic day, and it never really lived up to the hype, but, to begin with at least it was a fun ride...dropped away toward the end though.
Hoping to get better conditions during the session and expecting to find at least shoulder high waves with the wind blowing all day it was quite disappointing to find chop and only waist high waves Saw the boys get some nice air. No great heroics where attempted but waves were jumped, ridden, outrun and smashed in a pretty good afternoons entertainment.
